Illustrative Voices offers workshops in Figure Drawing and Heads & Hands Drawing.

Figure Drawing and Heads & Hands Drawing workshops are 3-hours long and non-instructional. Illustrative Voices faculty will be present to assist with any questions about technique or fundamentals, but these workshops are meant to be an opportunity for artists to focus on their own personal style and approach, as well as practice their craft.

Workshops are offered once a week at a regularly scheduled time and are approximately 2-3 hours long.

Clothed Figure Drawing

Clothed Figure Drawing workshops allow artist to explore the essential and basic principles of drawing the human figure with accuracy to develop an understanding of gesture, proportion, rhythm, balance, structure, and opinion. Artists explore human proportion, structure, geometry, balance, and expression of the clothed figure to enhance understanding of 3D form, volume, and space.

This course also explores how diverse cultures use color for visual communication of mood, emotions, and feelings. Students will learn how diverse cultures use color for celebrations, holidays, and gatherings, and the meaning and symbolism behind those colors.

Additional Information:Models will wear a variety of clothing styles, costumes, and outfits.
